About this tea
The largest ceramic set in the range
650ml and six 80ml cups makes this the one to buy for actually serving people. Most of our ceramic sets come with two or three cups and suit one or two drinkers; this is sized for a table.
A strainer in the lid, not a basket
The strainer sits in the lid and catches leaves as you pour, rather than holding them in a basket inside the pot. It means the leaves brew loose in the full body of the water, which gives a fuller extraction than any basket allows. The trade-off is that you cannot lift them out — so pour the pot out when it is ready rather than letting it stand.
Why ceramic for a set this size
Heat retention. A 650ml pot takes a while to work through, and ceramic will still be pouring hot tea when a glass pot of the same size has gone lukewarm. Warm the pot with hot water before brewing and it holds even longer.
Care
Hand wash. Avoid thermal shock — do not fill a cold pot straight from a boiling kettle.
